Hey guys! Yet again I participated in the Food Penpal Program found over on The Lean Green Bean Blog! (Click the picture above for more information and rules!)
This month I had a lot of fun putting together a box, and also receiving my box!
This time around I received a box from a girl named Leslie. She doesn’t have a blog, or I would refer you over to it! But she is a super nice gal, and I was very lucky to have her as my foodie penpal!
Here is what the contents of my box contained:
Hippie Chow Granola: This stuff is sooo good! I love it on top of yogurt, but it is great plain as well! Definitely a good choice!
Two Chocolate bars, one with peanuts and one with pretzels inside: Leslie was very brave to send these candy bars by mail, and she packaged them up really good so that I wouldn’t have a chocolaty mess when I opened the box! Just popped them in the freezer and let them sit for a bit, and they were as good as new. And they were amazing!
Local items: Leslie lives in Kansas City, KS and she went to her local farmers market and got me a few things that are specific to her area! First there was Kansas Wildflower Honey, some Kansas City BBQ Sauce that looks oh-so-good!, and some locally made jam!
*More pictures to come of my box and contents! I forgot to bring my flash drive with me to upload them!
I mailed my box to Lindsay from theliveinkitchen.com, so check out her blog to see what I sent over there! But be careful, you will get sucked in to her blog, and her beautiful food photos and recipes! I definitely recommend it
If you want to find out more about this fun program, click the Foodie Penpal picture at the top of the post!
I won’t be participating in August because I have a very busy month ahead, but I look forward to participating again in the future!

I love that it’s called Hippie Chow!
Me too! I thought that was so cute
